What’s up with the new Symbol?

This symbol represents the ministry to the Children at St. Mark’s.

Black = Our sin that

separates us from God

Red = Christ’s sacrifice and blood paid for our sin

Green = Our new life when we accept Christ as our Savior

Yellow = The Grace of Heaven

White band = Our faith journey

through life in Christ.

As you see this symbol on different things in the coming years, let it remind you of how precious you are.  Christ died for you in order that you could be His!!

Jesus said, “I’ll tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom, of heaven.  And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.”   Matthew 18:2-5

Preschool in Winter

Preschool and Child Care doesn’t slow down for the winter season.  In fact we seem to be getting busier. Last week our subject was about "Making Music." Our special guest, Pat Nash, came to show the children the different musical instruments and what they sound like. The

children loved it. This week we are discussing “Animals in the Winter.”  From cold climate animals, such as polar bears and penguins, to what area animals do during the winter months.  The next week is our transportation week, from buses to cars to trains and planes. We will be talking about all kinds of ways people move things. Time is flying by, and Valentine’s Day parties and card making are just around the corner; with hearts galore.

We will also be visited by the Dental Hygienist

in February for Dental Health Month. It’s amazing how quickly the year flies.

And with all that’s been going on we also squeezed in two fire drills for the month of January. Brrrr.
